3K & Pre-K Eligibility

3K: Children born in 2023 are eligible to apply for Fall 2026 entry.
4K (aka PreK): Children born in 2022 are eligible to apply for Fall 2026 entry.

FAQs

How Can I Secure a FREE 3K or 4K Seat?

All current students at BedRock and siblings of current students at BedRock will have priority seating. These families also must list BedRock as their 1st choice on the DOE application. All new students applying for 3K and 4K will undergo a lottery system determined by the DOE. Many families will explore and enroll their child(ren) at BedRock prior to the 3 years old program as a way to secure a future seat both in our FREE 3K and 4K programs. We ask that families start by signing up for a virtual tour and then attending an optional, in-person visit. You may email Info@BedRockPreschool.com to schedule a virtual tour. Click on the tab "Admissions / Tours" to view our monthly updated virtual tour dates.

What Are 3K and 4K?

3K: Free, full‑day (8:30am to 2:50pm) early education for children in the calendar year they turn three by Dec 31st.

4K: Free, full‑day (8:30am to 2:50pm) early education for children in the calendar year they turn three by Dec 31st.

These programs deliver high-quality, play-based curricula designed to build social, emotional, and cognitive skills prior to kindergarten entry.

Does BedRock offer 2K?

At the moment, we do not offer 2K. This will be determined by DOE. Once we have more information, we will update on our website. Stay tuned!

Who can apply and qualify for FREE 3K and 4K?

As long as your child resides in one of the five NYC boroughs and turns 3 or 4 year by Dec 31st for the academic school year.
