Our Philosophy

Our philosophy revolves around the idea that every child deserves a chance to get the best start in life possible.  The first five years of life are critical to a child’s development and lifetime success.  These early childhood years are windows of opportunity for optimal learning to take place.  This is not to say that we cannot continue to learn for the rest of our lives, but that there are certain times in our life when learning is easier.  A great example lies in the linguistic diversity phenomenon.  A child under the age of five who is exposed to a second or even third language can usually speak all languages fluently without an accent.  This is where we strongly believe that proper stimulation for young children contributes to the structure and capacity of the brain that lasts a lifetime.    

At BedRock Preschool, we understand the importance of early learning as a preparation to develop the makeup of the “whole child.”  Focusing on all areas of development, such as physical, social, emotional, and cognitive ensure for future success.  Giving children advantages in these areas at an early age gives them a firmer foundation to build upon.  We believe a child’s creation and exploration can only be fully developed in the safety of a nurturing environment.  Our teachers recognize that children learn best when they experience the world firsthand utilizing all of their senses to participate in learning.  Our students form lasting bonds with their teachers and parents develop a strong sense of partnership with the school.
